Introduction
On the behalf of the Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Bangkok, Thailand, members of the Local Organizing Committee and International Program Committee of the ATCM conference, we are proud and honored to introduce all contributions by presenters of the ATCM 2016 with the theme of "Teaching and Learning Mathematics, Sciences and Engineering through Technology". We sincerely thank the Institute for Promotion and Science and Technology (IPST) of Thailand to co-sponsor this program by inviting many local teachers to attend this enjoyable and instructive annual international conference.
The first ten papers are from the plenary and other invited speakers. These are followed by another twenty contributed papers. A double-blind refereeing process was use to review, and to approve, each of these papers.
We thank many participants and contributions from all around world, many of whom have come to ATCMs years after year since the conference started in 1995. We are fortunate to have presenters from a wide spectrum of scientists and educators, whose presentations and workshops will demonstrate the most current trends in technology for mathematics and mathematics with technology. On the one hand, we are sad to see many past ATCM contributors have retired or are retiring. On the other hand, we are glad to see many young presenters are coming to ATCM this year. In particular, we have a group of high school students from No. 22 middle school of Beijing, China. We believe creativity and innovation will arise when we experiment mathematics with technological tools. We urgently need all of your supports to bring in your friends or colleagues to continuously contributing to ATCM year after year.
With each passing year existing technologies mature and new technologies are created. Each development provides new opportunities to develop new ways to use these technologies to present to new generations of students the mathematics that is the cornerstone of all Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. As important as the technology developments are the individual and group efforts to communicate their ideas and results. All authors and readers are encouraged to contribute your favorite idea (or ideas) to the next ATCM or to the Electronic Journal of Technology and Mathematics (eJMT: https://php.radford.edu/~ejmt/).
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all sponsors for making ATCM 2016 a great event again. We thank also the members of the International Program Committee and external reviewers for their great contribution in reviewing papers to ensure our Proceedings can be released in time.
