Abstract
This is a hands-on workshop in which participants will use TI-92 Geometry to visualize mathematical topics and concepts from throughout the secondary curriculum. Topics such as properties of triangles, the least squares line of best fit, linear equations, locus problems, optimization problems, parabolas, tangent lines and conics, and tessellations will be explored during this session. The focus of this session will be to show how students and teachers can use this hand held technology to learn and teach mathematics easier that what they might be otherwise be doing. A handout of the various topics covered will be provided.
Participants do not need to have any prior experience using the TI-92. TI-92 calculators will be provided for each person during the session.
