Abstract
This workshop will explore ways in which Maple can be used to teach statistics. A special package of Maple procedures, specifically developed to promote learning of statistical concepts, will be used in the workshop. Specific examples that explore properties of statistical distributions, relationships between distributions, the nature of confidence intervals, and the role of errors in statistical testing will be discussed. The package of about 140 Maple programs and all examples used in the workshop will be distributed to all participants on floppy discs.
