                                             Abstract
                                            Appropriate use of hand-held technology,
like the TI-89 or TI-92, can help
                                            students build deep understanding
                                            about important techniques used in
                                            mathematics. Interesting real world
problems can be solved using these
tools. This technology can help students
build the evidence needed to make
                                            conjectures and give proofs. Examples
will be given to support these claims.
