                    Abstract
Animations created by java are very useful to understand mathematical concepts. Moving figures focus on the invariant properties. We can recognize the relation between a part and the total figures. It helps us to grasp the meaning of mathematics. If we show abstract properties immediately to students, they have difficulties understanding it at first. However animations by computer are less abstract and therefore more familier to the students. Qualificative understanding derived by moving figures is very useful and it ultimately helps quantative understanding. We can use java applets on the web. So students can prepare the lessons with the applets we provide before the classe and they can revise the lessons after school. Even if there are no computers in the class, the students can study with computers in their homes.
