                                             Abstract
                                            Teachers of Mathematics are constantly
looking for better ways of presenting
                                            material to students. Various methods,
techniques and tools have been developed
and tried out in classrooms with the
main aim of enhancing the teaching-learning
process. One such tool which has been
                                            used successfully, and in numerous
ways, is the microcomputer. It has
become many a teacher's 'unpaid assistant.'
The microcomputer has become a useful
tool in the creation of various teaching-learning
                                            environments. Information Technology
has assisted us in creating new learning
                                            environments which has further necessitated
the development of new teaching strategies.
In this paper we discuss how IT has
influenced the way we teach mathematics
to our students here at the Papua
                                            New Guinea University of Technology.
                                            Various examples will be given.
