                    Abstract
Statistics is playing an increasingly important role in the decision making processes of our society, but it is an approach to statistics in which statistical techniques are means to an end , not an end in themselves, as is often the case in introductory level statistics. In this hands-on workshop it will be demonstrated how the TI-83 graphics calculator can be used to transform introductory level statistics into the statistics of real world practice. No previous experience with a graphics calculator is assumed.
