Abstract
TI Interactive is a recently developed computer application that combines the previously disparate environments and facilities of word processor, functions grapher, statistics package, CAS and web browser. This paper will explore the potential of this package to enhance educational outcomes for secondary students within the contexts of teaching, learning and assessment. A particular focus will be on the opportunities the multi-representational, interactive and dynamic interface of this package offers teachers and students to develop richly connected understandings of mathematical ideas and concepts. This paper will also identify questions this software application asks designers of curriculum and assessment programs.
