We are pleased to announce the second Asian Technology Conference in Mathematics (ATCM) Korea chapter will be held in CheongJu, South Korea during August 6-9, 2014. The second ATCM-Korea is jointly organized by ATCM and Korea National University of Education.

(August 10, 2014) We are happy to report that the second ATCM-Korea chapter (August 6-9, 2014) was an inspring event organized by Korea National University of Education in CheongJu, we had a fruitful discussion regarding how technological tools will impact our teaching and students' learning in the years to come. Purposes:
The ATCM local chapter is meant to promote the exchanges of students-centered projects where technological tools are being implemented creatively in solving real-life problems. Teachers and students will gain valuable knowledge in handling projects with up to date technological tools. It is common sense that mathematics learning outcomes cannot be and should not be measured only by testing or examination alone, this is where project-based exploration could become life-long learning experiences.

Topics of Interests:
The conference will cover a broad range of topics on the application and use of technology in Mathematics research and teaching. These include, but are not limited to:

Exchange ideas of students-centered projects between Korean and international scholars.

Exchange ideas of implementing technology in mathematics instructions and learning between local and international scholars.

Exchange ideas of implementing technology in mathematics research between local and international scholars.

Format of the Conference:
We will have plenary speeches, presentations and hands-on workshops.

Call for Proposals:

Please upload your submission online through Conference Review System. Choose ATCM 2014 under the track of ATCM-Korea by July 1, 2014. It can be in of the following formats:(i) presnting talk with abstract only, (ii) full paper, or (iii) abstract for conducting workshop.

Submission Deadline: July 1, 2014. Notification Deadline: by July 15, 2014.

Successful proposals will be invited for consideration of publication at the Electronic Journal of Mathematics and Technology

Local transportation information:

The platform of the bus to Cheong-Ju is 9 D (nine D) near the passenger terminal exit number 9 at the Inchon International Airport. The fare is 19600 KW and it takes 150 minutes. The schedule of the bus is 06:30, 07:30, 08:10, 08:40, 10:00, 10:30, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30, 17:30, 18:00, 19:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:40.
