Abstract
This tutorial will give delegates the
chance to try out tested lesson plans using Autograph in the teaching
of mathematics at SENIOR LEVEL (up to age of 19). There will be a choice
of topics involving dynamic images in: - probability distributions; hypothesis
testing - statistics: residuals, continuous distributions - data handling:
finding data on the web and analysing - advanced graphs and functions;
implicit equations - conics: by construction and by coordinate geometry
- calculus: concepts of differentiation and integration - 1st and 2nd
order differential equations (implicit forms) - Vectors in 2D and 3D;
applications of the cross product - Lines, planes and surfaces in 3D.
There will be opportunities to try out new teaching styles using a projector
on a white board, and also on an interactive whiteboard. Examples can
be previewed as flash recordings on the web at: http://www.autograph-maths.com/dynclass-2.html
and http://www.autograph-maths.com/dynclass-3.html
