Abstract
This tutorial will give delegates the chance to try out tested
lesson plans, using Autograph in the teaching of mathematics at JUNIOR
LEVEL (up to age of 16). There will be a choice of topics involving dynamic
images in: - probability: simple simulations - statistics: scatter diagrams,
histograms, time series - data handling: finding data on the web and analysing
- simple graphs and functions - implicit straight lines and inequalities
(linear programming) - trigonometric functions - transformations (of shapes
and of graphs) There will be opportunities to try out new teaching styles
using a projector on a white board, and also on an interactive whiteboard.
Examples can be previewed as flash recordings on the web at: http://www.autograph-maths.com/dynclass-1.html
