Mladen Djuric, Sam Henderson, Bill O'Donnell, David Williams, Al Hammond, David Tien School of Information Technology Charles Sturt University Australia Application originally developed for the IEEE society to handle the online submission of abstracts and papers for MICE (Meetings, Incentive Tours, Conferences and Exhibitions). The application is an intelligent and fully automated web-based conference organising system. It allows for easy abstract/paper submission, as well as paper marking. A fully operational conference web page is supplied with the application and can be easily modified for any new MICE. The original version of the application uses a combination of HTML and php scripting to handle the abstract/paper submission and marking process. Currently the application is run on a Charles Sturt University's Unix server Odysseus. The planned completion date of the student project ICOS is by the end of the Spring session 2001. ICOS is going to be used at the First International Conference on Information Technology and Applications scheduled to take place in Bathurst, Australia (December 2002). A test version of the application can be found at http://odysseus.mit.csu.edu.au/icita2002 For the First International Conference on Information Technology and Applications, the application will be accessed through the following url – http://www.worldconferences.info/icita2002
