TEMPLATES FOR CREATING ONLINE MATHEMATICS QUIZZES

This session describes special features of a web-based interactive

system and its use in creating online mathematics quizzes. The

session will focus on the instruction of how to create questions,

code the grading, and administer quizzes. With different types of

available templates, the system helps to resolve the main

difficulties in creating, delivering and grading online mathematics

quizzes. The use of random parameters in each question allows the

instructor to affordably set up item pools as well as to ensure that

students will take tasks with similar standards but copying from

each other is impractical since no two tasks will carry the same

version of the same question. Extraneous effects of the system on

university entrance exams and admission and online mathematics

tutorials will be illustrated. Participants who are interested in

using the system can request for a trial account.
