Abstract

The statistical abilities of modern graphing calculators allow a far more interactive and experimental approach to the teaching of both Statistics and Probability. In this session we will be using the Hewlett-Packard HP38G to look at how this technology can be used to enhance the student's understanding of the basic concepts, and also to enrich the enjoyment of the subject through the use of simulations to develop a better understanding of probability models.

Intended Audience: Teachers of students in upper secondary mathematics.
